Road Rules in Celje

The citizens (meščani) of Celje follow road rules every day.

For example:

We mustn't hurry. We can cross the streets when there's a green man signal.

But there are some difficulties, too. Read what happens every day in Celje:

Many people have difficulties when entering (vstopajo) the roundabouts.

Most drivers don't give indicators (žmigovc) when they leave (zapuščajo) roundabout. This can cause accidents. These drivers should go back to driving school.

Answer the questions below. So you can help to walk, ride, drive in Celje safer.

  • Which road rule in Celje do you find not safe (dangerous)?
  • What road rule will you change in Celje? Why?

Ride Safely!

When I was very young, I skipped (broke) one rule only.

In those days there was no gridlock –huge traffic flow (gost promet) or traffic jams in Celje.

I lived in a dead end street. From time to time I rode my bike with no hands on the handlebars.

Nowadays I don't skip safety rules.

Do you skip (break) any road safety rules? What?

To write about this you can use your English book on page 169 exercise 2A, B.

You don't want to write about you.

How do road signs make us safe?

You are doing great. I'm very proud of you.

Let's write about road signs.
You all have got bike licences (kolesarski izpit).

There are many road signs in our streets and on our roads.

I must follow road signs as a biker, too.

For exaple:
I must slow down and look carefully if there's a car coming.

What about you?

You can use your English book on page 168 exercise 1A.

Do you like riding bikes?

Welcome to our blog- Ride Safely and You'll Have Fun,

I like riding bikes.
You need a bike and a helmet at least. If you have a friend with you, it's even safer.
I do this sport activity in summer when I have holidays.

Write about you and bikes.
